Bulgaria
I began constructing these pages only recently, but I intend to populate this part of
the site fairly quickly. It is dedicated to Bulgaria, my homeland, and one of the most
beautiful, if historically unfortunate, countries in Europe. The first Bulgarian state
in Europe was constituted in 165 CE, and Danube Bulgaria (where the present-day
country is located) was created in 681 CE by Khan Asparukh. This makes Bulgaria
the
oldest European state existing under the same name (18 centuries).
